Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Gorilla Forest
In the morning, you will drive southwest towards Bwindi National park, with a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch. Continue the scenic drive to Kabale town, also known as the “Switzerland of Africa”.
Later transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs –Bwindi Engagi Lodge/Gorilla Valley Lodge/ Broadbill Forest camp.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking and community walk.
You will have an early breakfast there after proceed to the park headquarters for briefing from the rangers about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas.
Proceed for the memorable adventure in the forest, an activity that may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the animals.
Meet and stay with the animals for a maximum of one hour, don’t forget to park and carry your lunch and water with you.
There are porters available to help you during the hike should you require the service Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs –Bwindi Engagi Lodge/Gorilla Valley Lodge. Full Board.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park.
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park via Ishasha sector, where you will have game drives to see tree climbing lions, leopards and other animals like toupees, kobs, waterbucks, buffaloes.
you will have an early lunch, the drive off to the northern part of the park for a boat ride along the Kazinga Channel. Kazinga channel is a 40 km natural canal that connects Lake Edward and Lake George.
During the boat ride, you will encounter Buffaloes, Elephants, Hippos, Kobs, Nile monitor lizards, Nile Crocodiles plus warthogs and the Giant Forest Hog among others. As they come down to cool off the heat from the sun and quench their thirst.
You will also enjoy a wide variety of bird species both native and immigrant birds from Europe as the channel is a habitat of more than 350 species of birds. Dinner and overnight at Mazike Valley lodge – Kasenyi Safari Camp / Park View Lodge – Ihamba Safari lodge. Full Board.
